Your support is vital to our mission to understand the cosmos, teach tomorrow’s leaders about our place in the universe, and bring astronomy to Wisconsin communities! From fellowships for outstanding students to support for our Universe in the Park public observing program, gifts make the difference between good and great. During this Day of the Badger, we are thrilled to let you know that we have a dollar-for-dollar match in place, up to $5,000, for gifts to the WiCOR seminar series fund. Double the impact of your gift this year and help us make the most of this generous offer.
Those in the Department of Astronomy observe, model, and compute to unlock the mysteries of the cosmos. Our new Wisconsin Center for Origins Research (WiCOR) asks the deep questions: Where do we come from, why are we here, and where are we going? Faculty, scientists, and students will work in WiCOR to find and study exoplanets, to understand how planetary systems form, and to define and search for bio-signatures throughout our galaxy. Help us launch WiCOR by contributing to our WiCOR seminar series, which will bring leaders in the study of exoplanets and astrobiology to Madison to share their scientific vision.
